David Kaplan: Yes
Narrative
Mismatched cousins reunite for a tour of Poland to honor the memory of their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a new turn when the odd couple’s old contradictions surface against the background of their family history. When Benjy and David visit their grandmother’s house in Poland, this is the place where Jesse Eisenberg’s real ancestors settled in the diaspora.. Benjy Kaplan: We keep moving, we stay light, we stay nimble. Benji Kaplan: The conductor will come and take the tickets, we will tell him that we are going to the toilet. David Kaplan: Toilet.
Benjy Kaplan: Yes
Benjy Kaplan: He gets to the tail of the train and starts to move to the head in search of the stragglers. David Kaplan: Excuse me, are we behind? By the time he gets to the start, the train will be at the station, and we will be home free. David Kaplan: That’s so damn stupid. Tickets are probably around twelve bucks. Benji Kaplan: That’s the principle.
This is our country
We do not have to pay for train tickets in Poland. David Kaplan: No, it’s not like that, it was our country. They kicked us out because they thought we were cheap. Featured on CBS News Sunday Morning: Episode #46.44 (2024). 12 etudes, op. 25, No.
Watched it at the Sundance Film Festival in 2024
3 in F majorWritten by Frédéric ChopinPerformed by Zvi Erez. Earlier, Jesse Eisenberg directed When You’re Done Saving the World, which was interesting, but unfortunately a little annoying. Here, Eisenberg’s direction and script for this film shows that he has greatly improved, as many of the characters are interesting and engaging, good dialogue and excellent acting, especially Kieran Culkin, who steals the show throughout the film. The narrative explores family history and complex relationships as each of the themes and case studies were well handled and it was funny, emotional and exciting to watch. Featuring beautiful cinematography, a good soundtrack and conversations that felt real, authentic and exciting to watch. Eisenberg’s approach to chemistry, structure and pacing was good as he created a really good, gripping and personal story about family history and the true meaning of bonds and relationships.
There were some soundtrack choices that felt a little out of place
But overall, Eisenberg has improved, and I’m looking forward to what else he might bring to today.. From Alien: Romulus to Home on the Road, take a look at some of our favorite posters of 2024.
