It follows long-time rivals Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Baddingham as their rivalry comes to a head. Coincidentally, Aidan Turner had previously filmed at Chavenage House (The Priory in Rivals). The same filming location was also used to portray Trenwith House in the 2015 BBC television adaptation of Poldark. Absolutely incredible – the wit, the innuendo, the humour, the characters, the relevance to the 80s era, the cast, the locations – it’s perfection in a TV show. This kind of TV has been lacking for at least the last decade – it has it all. Sentimentality and joy, tears of laughter and sadness, nostalgia on steroids and a cast who play their roles perfectly. I don’t have a single bad word to say about this show. Big kudos to the writers, actors, crew and everyone involved. I’m already watching this for a second time because there are too many memorable lines to catch the first time. Well done!
