Life takes on a new lease on life when Charles, a retired man, answers an ad for a private investigator and becomes the mole in a secret investigation at a nursing home. I’m not a big watcher, but we devoured the entire season on the first night. It has the right mix of warm, funny, sad, and deep with a storyline that will keep you hooked. Ted Danson is really great, but Stephanie Beatriz (Diaz in ’99) is great and her character is someone you’d spend everything on. It’s set in San Francisco and that really helps with my rating, but above all, even though it’s very sad at times, it’s a comedy and it gives you hope for the future as we all get a little older. I give it a solid eight out of ten, one for all ages and who knows, maybe another season.
